Mission
The Lab Room's Origins
As a high school sophomore, Spencer Martin, a science enthusiast, discovered that there are numerous science competitions available through online research, but many of these events tend to be national or global in scope. Surprisingly, he found a lack of localized science competitions that could stimulate interest in science and innovation in local communities.
From his love of the sciences, his community, and the Shark Tank television show, the idea for The Lab Room was born. The hope is that The Lab Room competition ignites enthusiasm for science research and innovation among students and the broader community, fostering a culture of support for scientific endeavors within local communities.
